Forget Me Never

Forget Me Never

Breaking News! Police are in search of seventeen-year old Natalie Dawson. Evidence shows we may be looking for a body. More at eleven.

Natalie Dawson has just moved to New York for the beginning of her Junior year. Natty quickly finds her place at the new school as the captain of the dance team, head of the steering comittee, girlfriend of the hottest lead singer in a local band, and one of three close, best friends. Natty's living a great life in Manhattan but is that what possibly ruined her life?

Forget Me Never, told in three parts, is a story of insane jelousy, forgotten memories, and true love. Can jelously tear apart a love so strong forever or will the forgotten memories bring everything to a happy ending again?

Forget Me Never is still in the procees of being written and will not be posted until I've finished part one. I will only post part one on Inkpop due to the fact that I may want to publish this someday and I don't want anyone to know the ending. Updates on Forget Me Never are in the blog :]

The Story Behind the Story

My friend and I were sitting in English one morning and it was dreadful. The teacher droned on about absolutely nothing because this one kid could always say one word and send him off on a tangent for the rest of the hour. Well, not wasting our lives, I took out my notebook and we starting jotting down thoughts and eventually came up with plot lines like car crash, kidnapping, murder no alive!, missing girl, perfect life. These words all had a party and we called the next morning mess Forgotten Memories. The book never was written and took a one year haitus.

A year later in the same classroom, not the same teacher though, an idea sparked me and I knew just where I wanted to start the story: the subway. I have no idea why but from there, the plot unfolded, characters were born, and Forget Me Never was started.

Book Soundtrack

She Takes Me High by We the Kings - This is the kind of music I imagine the band plays. Very upbeat and good to dance to.

Cosmic Love by Florence and the Machine - This is the song on Natalie's iPod when she's sitting in the subway. The sound is replaced with the music and all she can observe is a quiet motion.

Down [Candlelight Remix] by Jay Sean - in Natalie's bedroom when she and Anton are talking. I needed a soft song to play for a calm atmosphere.

My Best Friends Hot by The Dollyrots - Brooke just has a bad time with guys. Not her fault they just turn out to be jerks.

Arise by E.S. Posthumus - It's an intense song just right for the chase. A nice haunting beginning that adds mystery. Natalie is running for her life and this fast paced song runs right along with her.

Heavy in Your Arms by Florence and the Machine - Natty needs the signal on her cell but she'll never get it.

My Love by Sia
